<\/p>\nThe Takoradi Bible College in the Western Region, run by the Takoradi Central Church of Christ on Saturday, July 22, 2017, \u00a0held a graduation ceremony for 27 students who had successfully completed three years of ministerial training at the college.<\/p>\n
These ministers during their study period were taking through Homiletics, Hermeneutics, Church History, The Prophets, Pneumatology, Ecclesiology, Psychology as well as Old and New Testaments Savvy and Basics in the Greek Language etc., to better equip them to advance the ministerial work of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

The ceremony, not the first of its kind though, held at the Takoradi Central Church of Christ, was witnessed by several hundreds of loved ones and well-wishers.<\/p>\n
The Director of Studies at the college, Bro Dan Owusu Asiamah, speaking at the ceremony admonished the new ministers to draw strength and power from the Bible and the training they have received to advance the harvest work of Jesus Christ and to \u201cfight the kingdom of the devil\u201d.<\/p>\n

Bro. Asiamah noted that \u201cindeed the harvest is plentiful but true and dedicated servants of the Lord have now become a scarcity. Be careful with money as you go. Go out there and make your difference in the Kingdom of the Lord. Go and be the strong leaders the Lord is looking for. There are too many false prophets and charlatans in our world today. I urge you to go and fight them…\u201d<\/p>\n
Guest speaker from the Ojai, California Church of Christ in the United States, Jim Short speaking to\u00a0Citi News<\/b>\u00a0after his sermon, admonished followers of Jesus Christ to avoid acts and behaviors that puts them off the gospel. He particularly admonished women not to be used as vessels by the devil to run down ministers of God\u2019s word, but to continue praying for them in order to accomplish their divine mission.<\/p>\n

Many men of God in biblical times and modern days have \u201cfallen down\u201d in their ministerial work through women. More often new graduates, like the 27graduands whose feet are yet to get hold on the ground, are primary victims of this wicked scheme.<\/p>\n
Jim Short counseled that \u201cthere is nothing that will undo a man\u2019s ministry more quickly than if he gets inappropriately involved with women. Men who are preachers have place of leadership and are known in the community. This truly puts them in such a position that they have to deal with all manner of people. It is here that they need to treat women with respect and not to take advantage of them for sexual pleasures. We need to recognize that God\u2019s word is what we need to follow\u201d.<\/p>\n

Hands were laid on the 27 in prayers by their tutors in unity and oneness for spiritual strength and courage whilst copies of the Thomson Chain Reference Bible were given to each to serve as a guide in their new spiritual journeys.<\/p>\n
\u201cGo out there and endure afflictions for the Lord. Go, we send you, to revive the evangelistic favor that characterized the only church we read about in the New Testament. As you go, we remind you to be careful with money, women and materialism. May the Lord be your helper! Go and make your difference in the kingdom!\u201d Bro. Asiamah encouraged them.<\/p>\n
The Takoradi Bible College, formerly Western School of Biblical Studies seeks to train astute men of God capable of advancing the course of the harvest work of Jesus Christ. It has over the years produced credible preachers of God\u2019s word for the various Churches of Christ in the Western Region and other parts of the country.<\/p>\n
