The former Chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC), Mr. Kabral Blay Amihere, \u00a0has said the only way school children can derive optimum benefits from social media without falling prey to its hidden dangers, is for parents and teachers to collaborate in the monitoring their internet usage.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Amihere expressed his displeasure that social media had suddenly become such a consuming passion for school children to an extent that it undermines academic performance and exposes children to a\u00a0myriad of character-damaging pitfalls on the information highway.<\/p>\n
