The Member of Parliament for Amasaman, Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea is accusing the New Patriotic Party executives in his constituency of orchestrating Monday\u2019s demonstration at Manhean.<\/p>\n

Some residents in the constituency demonstrated on Monday to protest the deplorable state<\/span> of roads and drainage in the area.<\/p>\n

But according to Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea, his investigation\u00a0indicates that \u00a0leadership<\/span> of the NPP in his Constituency planned the demonstration.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes we seem to tow partisan and political lines and it affects us; we have had security information that NPP constituency executive<\/span><\/span> within the Amasaman<\/span><\/span> constituency are the ones who were behind the demonstration,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

The MP further revealed that \u201cthere is a recording to that effect, we will make it available to all of you so that you play it for all to judge\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n

He noted that there is no need to deepen partisanship in modern day Ghana.<\/p>\n

The Amasaman Legislator however, is asking his constituents to\u00a0be patient since the assembly has devoted enough money to construct the roads and the drainage system in the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe assembly has set aside so much money, purposely for that road; it is only fair that you exercise patience and restrain for them to come and work on it as soon as the rainy season is over,\u2019\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n

He also rejected claims by the demonstrators that he does not visit the constituency and\u00a0is out of\u00a0touch with the people.<\/p>\n
