{"id":332512,"date":"2017-06-28T15:26:57","date_gmt":"2017-06-28T15:26:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=332512"},"modified":"2017-06-28T15:26:57","modified_gmt":"2017-06-28T15:26:57","slug":"gusheigu-dce-nominee-confirmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/06\/gusheigu-dce-nominee-confirmed\/","title":{"rendered":"Gusheigu DCE nominee confirmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 43-year-old Circuit Supervisor of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Musah Issah, has been confirmed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Gusheigu district in the Northern Region.<\/p>\n<p>He polled 28 out of total votes cast of 36 which represented 78%, according to the Electoral Commission&#8217;s rating.<\/p>\n<p>His confirmation dispelled widespread rumours that there was tension in the Gusheigu district following President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo&#8217;s nomination of Musah Issah to replace Yakubu Abdulai, who was earlier rejected by members of the assembly.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-332519\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/ad1798fc-7ca5-4098-aaf8-66e9cd54d452.jpg\" alt=\"ad1798fc-7ca5-4098-aaf8-66e9cd54d452\" width=\"1080\" height=\"607\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed, inducted the Gusheigu DCE into office, and called for peaceful coexistence.<\/p>\n<p>He appreciated the composition of leadership of the assembly with a Konkomba, Robert Dawuni Yahaya as the Presiding Member and Musah Issah (a Dagomba) as the DCE.<\/p>\n<p>Salifu Saeed reaffirmed government&#8217;s commitment to implement pro-poor programs to assuage the plight of the citizenry.<\/p>\n<p>The DCE, Musah Issah, appealed to residents to be law abiding citizens, as he promised to be a father for all and thus encouraged residents to shun tribal politics.<\/p>\n<p>Three out of the 26 districts comprising West Mamprusi, Tolon and Bunkprugu\/Yunyoo in the Northern Region are without DCEs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 43-year-old Circuit Supervisor of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Musah Issah, has been confirmed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Gusheigu district in the Northern Region.
