Wesley Girl’s High School fell at the quarter-final stage of the 2017 National Science & Maths Quiz after losing to\u00a0Kumasi High School.<\/p>\n

Wesley Girl’s High School’s 31 points trailed\u00a0Kumasi High School, who recorded 43 points, and T. I. AMASS,\u00a0Fomena’s\u00a039 points in Saturday’s first contest.<\/p>\n

Going into the fourth round, Wesley Girls’ High School led the contest with 31 points, with the eventual victors trailing the tie with\u00a026 points.<\/p>\n

But the fourth round, with its True\/False questions, where a correct answer is worth 2 points whereas a wrong answer attracts a penalty point, saw the Wesley Girls’ High School contestants come unstuck, as Kumasi High School took control of the tie.<\/p>\n

By the end of the fourth round, Kumasi High School stood at 36 points with\u00a0T.I. AMASS, Fomena\u00a0at 35 points as Wesley Girls’ High School dropped to 26 points as a result of the multiple penalties incurred.<\/p>\n
