{"id":33033,"date":"2014-07-19T10:45:49","date_gmt":"2014-07-19T10:45:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=33033"},"modified":"2014-07-19T10:45:49","modified_gmt":"2014-07-19T10:45:49","slug":"miss-malaika-auditions-take-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/07\/miss-malaika-auditions-take-off\/","title":{"rendered":"Miss Malaika auditions take off"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>First round of auditions for the 11th edition of the Miss Malaika-Ghana pageant came off at the studios of GhOne Entertainment Television in Accra last Saturday, July 12.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of young ladies thronged the scouting venue to face the panel of judges that comprised \u00a0photographer, Rodney Quarcoo, former Miss Malaika-Ghana queen, Ama Nettey and journalist, William Asiedu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The ladies, whose ages ranged from 18 to 25, were expected to display inner and outer beauty and intelligence, especially the ability to think on one\u2019s feet and answer questions brilliantly.The judges also looked out for boldness, eloquence and talents such as good public speaking abilities, dancing and \u00a0singing. One\u2019s knowledge of current affairs also attracted some pluses.As usual, some of the \u201cwannabe\u201d beauties displayed a high level of intelligence and also showed off their fine physical features and inner qualities.<\/p>\n<p>Others also showcased their natural gifts as they sang and performed contemporary dances such as Azonto and Alkayida.<\/p>\n<p>More than 50 of them met the judges\u2019 expectations and thus qualified for the next round of the auditions.<\/p>\n<p>According to the organisers, GhOne, 12 ladies will be selected to compete for the crown \u201cand also have a tremendous transformation of their lives as well as numerous opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Miss Malaika pageant is indeed a school for the young ladies who go through it.
