The 2017 edition of Ghana\u2019s biggest festival christened Asafotufiami, held annually in Ada, in the Greater Accra Region, was on Monday launched at the La Badi Beach Hotel.<\/p>\n
This year’s festival which will be the 80th anniversary of the celebration, saw the unveiling of a special logo and a host of activities lined up for the festival in August.<\/p>\n
The ceremony is under the auspices of the Ada Traditional Council\u00a0in conjunction with\u00a0Groupe Ideal.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the ceremony, President of Groupe Ideal, Dr. Nii Kotei Dzani, called on chiefs, traditional leaders and the people of Ada to be united, and champion the development of the area, especially the need to make Ada the preferred tourist destination in Ghana.<\/p>\n
He also announced GHC 300,000 as seed money for the construction of a palace for the Paramount Chief of the Ada\u00a0Traditional Area, Nene Abram Kabu Akuaku.<\/p>\n
