In fact, she was confirmed on the first try.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since her confirmation in May, the MCE, Hajia Ayishetu Seidu, has not reported to work because some residents, led by New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency executives have refused to allow her step foot in her\u00a0office.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister, however said these protests were unwarranted given their assembly representatives\u00a0endorsed\u00a0Hajia Ayishetu Seidu for the slot.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Effectively, she is the Municipal chief executive of Savelugu so people should relax, accept her and let her go about her business to provide the governance that they require,&#8221; the Minister said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_318919\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-318919\" style=\"width: 528px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-318919\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Savelugu-MCE-nominee-confirmed-1.jpg\" alt=\"Savelugu-Nantong MCE with the Northern Regional Minister\" width=\"528\" height=\"383\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-318919\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Savelugu-Nantong MCE with the Northern Regional Minister<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The angry Savelugu residents have staged a number of\u00a0demonstrations against the \u00a0Hajia Ayishetu Seidu, and have <span class=\"\">vowed<\/span> to prevent her from occupying the office even at the peril of their lives.
