David Asante Apeatu<\/strong><\/a><\/span> said the website, which will be launched within two (2) weeks, will also bridge the communication gap between the Police service and the public.<\/p>\nInteracting with the media in Accra, he said the website, when ready, will serve as an easy source of Police information for journalists.<\/p>\n
\u201cHappily ,we have designed a website that is so interactive that journalists can quickly go there for information. It is going to be launched within two weeks and I\u2019m sure that is going to alleviate some of the challenges that you\u2019ve been facing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that, the website will also present the opportunity to send information directly to the police and make enquiries about activities of the service.<\/p>\n
Journalists have sometimes had difficulty accessing information from the police. This has resulted in a huge communication gap between both organized establishments.<\/p>\n
This has in some circumstances led to the Police accusing journalists of misrepresentation, but the IGP believes the advent of the website will help foster a good working relationship between the police and the media.<\/p>\n
