President Nana Akufo-Addo has indicated his resolve to ensure that the perpetrators of the grisly murder of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama, are brought to light and made to face the rigours of the law.<\/p>\n
President Akufo-Addo, in his first official comment on the tragic incident, expressed his condolence to the family of Captain Mahama, and assured that none of his murderers would go free.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy condolences to the family of Captain Maxwell Mahama on their tragic loss. I assure them that the perpetrators of this heinous crime will be arrested and dealt with in accordance with the laws of our country. No one involved in his murder will go free,\u201d the President declared in a series of tweets.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Capt.\u00a0Mahama, an officer of the 5th Infantry Battalion, was said to have been on his daily jogging routine on Monday when he was lynched<\/a><\/strong><\/span> by some residents of Diaso, a small town in Denkyira-Obuasi, where he had been deployed to.<\/p>\n The residents claimed Captain Mahama, who at the time was allegedly not in military apparel, was a robber. His corpse was set on fire after the lynching.<\/p>\n
