Some angry residents of Somanya in the Eastern Region, have clashed\u00a0with police following the arrest of a man believed to have masterminded a\u00a0violent demonstration last week Friday, against the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).<\/p>\n
The agitated residents torched a police vehicle during the clash. The Eastern Regional Police Command\u00a0has since dispatched a team reinforce security in the area, to ensure law and order.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The Police in the Eastern Region were on the lookout for one Emmanuel Jamartey, who is reported to have instigated the said violent demonstration in\u00a0Somanya.<\/p>\n The Police say\u00a0Mr.\u00a0Jamartey acted unlawfully rallying the demonstrators to embark on an exercise that led to the destruction of property.<\/p>\n
