A fire gutted a two bedroom apartment at Low-cost, a suburb of Somanya in the Eastern Region on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
It is unclear what triggered the fire, which has been burning for close to two hours, but a resident, Bennet Yaovi, told Citi News<\/strong> the fire has ravaged properties and money worth over 10,000 cedis.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n “Upon reaching the place, the information I had was that the wife of the landlord was outside and their daughter told her that she saw a fire in the tenants\u2019 room. The tenant had also left the house,\u201d he narrated.<\/p>\n The fire proceeded to spread to the rest of the house as they called the fire service but before the service reached the room, the house was engulfed by the fire.<\/p>\n The wife of the landlord, a businesswoman reportedly had GHc 10,000 in their room which was lost to the fire.<\/p>\n
