The Registrar General\u2019s Department (RGD) has served notice it will from next month restrict the generation of Tax Identification Numbers (TIN) at its head office in Accra.<\/p>\n
This the Department says is aimed at reducing both human and vehicular congestion at its premises in Accra.<\/p>\n
The move is also targeted at achieving the President\u2019s commitment to make Ghana the most business friendly economy in Africa.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Citi Business News<\/strong>, the Public Relations Officer at the Registrar General\u2019s Department, Constance Adoma Takyi said the public will not be allowed into the premises unless a Business Registration Document (BRD) is provided.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is part of reform measures that we are putting in place to help speed up the registration processes. So we want people who want to register their business to do it within a time frame. We don\u2019t want people coming in where the TIN will be delayed. Because we have to generate TIN for other people who may need it for other services such as passports, ID cards and other things.
