{"id":320953,"date":"2017-05-19T19:00:54","date_gmt":"2017-05-19T19:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=320953"},"modified":"2017-05-19T19:00:54","modified_gmt":"2017-05-19T19:00:54","slug":"nadmo-boss-has-5-deputies-abu-ramadan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/05\/nadmo-boss-has-5-deputies-abu-ramadan\/","title":{"rendered":"NADMO boss has 5 deputies \u2013 Abu Ramadan reveals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The current Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh has five deputies.<\/p>\n<p>They include, Deputy-General in charge of Operations, Deputy in charge of Finance and Administration, Deputy Technical, Deputy Monitoring, Evaluation and Transport and a Deputy in charge of Protocol and Relief and Reconstruction.<\/p>\n<p>This was revealed by one of his deputies, Abu Ramadan who crossed carpet from the People\u2019s National Convention (PNC) to the New Patriotic Party during the run-up to the 2016 general elections.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;RWEpQ4gx7eTOvJhuRU1XPYhyQm4EUV2L&#8221;]Mr. Ramadan is currently the Deputy-General of NADMO in charge of Operations.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the <strong>Point Blank<\/strong> segment of <strong>Eyewitness News<\/strong> on Friday, Abu Ramadan rejected claims that the five deputies will put pressure on the public purse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe five deputies won\u2019t make a difference neither will it change anything,\u201d he argued.<\/p>\n<p><strong>110 Ministers <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This comes on the back of a wave of bashing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has received for appointing a total of 110 Ministers and their deputies.<\/p>\n<p>Many Ghanaians have complained that the supposed elephant sized Akufo-Addo\u2019s government will over burden the national purse but government officials have refuted such claims saying it is in the interest of the country.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Ramadan also said he has not received an official vehicle adding that he uses his personal car.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-13585 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/NADMO-Logo-22.jpg\" alt=\"NADMO-Logo-2\" width=\"511\" height=\"553\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t have official cars. I don\u2019t have an official driver, I pay my own driver,\u201d Abu Ramadan explained but affirmed that \u201cI have an office [at NADMO].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also argued the need for the many deputy roles saying they play diverse roles at NADMO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNADMO as we speak today, our staff is a little under 7,000. The job of NADMO is so enormous that it can\u2019t be put in the hands of a single person. Under NADMO alone we have more than 23 different units that work under NADMO.
