President Akufo-Addo has apappointed Dr. Felix Anyah, as the new Chief Executive Officer the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.<\/p>\n
Dr. Anyah, who is the owner of Holy Trinity Medical Centre\/Holy Trinity Spa & Health Farm assumes office\u00a0from June 1, 2017.<\/p>\n

66-year-old Dr. Anyah is a well-known Ghanian medical practitioner who pioneered health spa and farm in West Africa.<\/p>\n
Dr. Anyah takes over from\u00a0Dr Samuel Asiamah who is the acting CEO of the hospital following the self-termination of service by Dr Gilbert Buckle who reportedly ended his service in February this year.<\/p>\n
Dr. Buckle, before his departure faced numerous tussles with the Korle Bu Senior Staff Association (KOSSA) who among other things, raised issues about certain decisions he made.<\/p>\n
The Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in spite of its admirable status as one of the few major health facilities in the country is bedeviled with many challenges that appear to be insurmountable in spite of the many changes in administration.<\/p>\n
The situation of the hospital was described by the Minister for Environment Science and Technology, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng as a ‘monster’ that cannot be killed.<\/p>\n
The former Head of the National Cardiothoracic Centre who worked for several years at the hospital said during his ministerial vetting that\u00a0\u201cit has become a bigger monster that you cannot kill and you cannot eat.\u201d<\/p>\n
About Dr. Anyah<\/strong><\/p>\n He had his education at the St. John\u2019s School, Sekondi, Opoku Ware School, in Kumasi before entering the University of Ghana Medical School graduating with M.B.
