{"id":318414,"date":"2017-05-11T19:21:39","date_gmt":"2017-05-11T19:21:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=318414"},"modified":"2017-05-11T19:21:39","modified_gmt":"2017-05-11T19:21:39","slug":"eugene-asante-ofosuhene-is-new-controller-and-accountant-general","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/05\/eugene-asante-ofosuhene-is-new-controller-and-accountant-general\/","title":{"rendered":"Eugene Asante Ofosuhene is new Controller and Accountant General"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Akufo-Addo has appointed Mr. Eugene Asante Ofosuhene as the Acting Controller and Accountant General.<\/p>\n<p>He replaces Mr. Seidu Kotomah who was appointed by ex-President Mahama.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Ofosuhene\u2019s appointment forms part of a number of key appointments to the Finance Ministry announced on Thursday, May 11<sup>th<\/sup>, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>A statement from the Finance Ministry said, \u201cMr. Ofosuhene comes to this position with a wealth of experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a former Deputy Controller and Accountant General, Mr. Ofosuhene was responsible for management of the Government Treasury.<\/p>\n<p>He acted creditably on several occasions as the Controller and Accountant General in the absence of the substantive Controller.<\/p>\n<p>He is a Public Finance Expert and has consulted for the World Bank on the assignment, \u2018Strengthening the role of Public Private Partnerships in the Local Government Assemblies\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Ofosuhene is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (U.K. &amp;amp; Ireland) F.C.C.A and Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>He has a Master\u2019s degree in Business Administration (Finance option) from the University of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>He is also a graduate of the London School of Accountancy.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Seidu Kotomah has since been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Pius Amihere Eduku\/citibusinessnews.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Akufo-Addo has appointed Mr. Eugene Asante Ofosuhene as the Acting Controller and Accountant General.
