{"id":317431,"date":"2017-05-08T19:08:31","date_gmt":"2017-05-08T19:08:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=317431"},"modified":"2017-05-08T19:08:31","modified_gmt":"2017-05-08T19:08:31","slug":"invite-bugri-naabu-over-adams-mahama-murder-claims-amaliba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/05\/invite-bugri-naabu-over-adams-mahama-murder-claims-amaliba\/","title":{"rendered":"Invite Bugri Naabu over Adams Mahama murder claims &#8211; Amaliba"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A private legal practitioner and a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham\u00a0Amaliba, has the charged the Police Administration and the Attorney General\u2019s office to act on the new allegations made in relation to the 2015 murder of the New Patriotic Party\u2019s Upper East Regional Chairman, Adams Mahama.<\/p>\n<p>The NPP Northern Regional Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu, as part of\u00a0the\u00a0war\u00a0of words within the Northern Region NPP, alleged that, the Gender Minister, Otiko Djaba, had a hand in the death of the Adams Mahama, and\u00a0Mr.\u00a0Amilaba said these claims must be taken as fresh evidence in the ongoing murder case.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyer noted on\u00a0<strong>Eyewitness News<\/strong>\u00a0that, these allegations, which also roped in the current Upper East Regional Minister, Rockson Bukari, in effect meant \u201cthe people who killed Adams Mahama are now known according to Bugri Naabu.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<dl id=\"attachment_214255\">\n<dt>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_118786\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-118786\" style=\"width: 644px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/adams-mahama-e1494269212912.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-118786\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/adams-mahama-e1494269212912.jpg\" alt=\"The late Adams Mahama\" width=\"644\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/adams-mahama-e1494269212912.jpg 644w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/adams-mahama-e1494269212912-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 644px) 100vw, 644px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-118786\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The late Adams Mahama<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/dt>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWith what Bugri Naabu just said, I am sure this calls for investigations. It calls for the IGP, it calls for the Attorney General to invite Bugri Naabu and the others to answer some questions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot just allow this to go and say they were said at the time people were angry. It is about ensuring that the family of Adams Mahama gets justice and so I am calling on the IGP and the AG to quickly invite these persons so they can get to the bottom of this matter,\u201d Mr. Amaliba said.<\/p>\n<p>Adams Mahama was <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/05\/26\/adam-mahama-died-from-extensive-acid-burns-autopsy-report\/\">attacked with acid<\/a><\/strong><\/span> on May 20, 2015, and he died after sustaining extensive acid burns and acute respiratory distress syndrome, according to the autopsy report.<\/p>\n<p>Gregory\u00a0Afoko, younger brother of suspended NPP Chairman, Paul Afoko, is currently being held on the charges of conspiracy to commit a crime to wit murder and murder of the late Adams Mahama.<\/p>\n<div>\n<dl id=\"attachment_139062\">\n<dt><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Gregory-Afoko-620x400.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Gregory-Afoko-620x400.jpg\" alt=\"Gregory Afoko\" width=\"675\" height=\"435\" \/><\/a><\/dt>\n<dd>Gregory Afoko<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<p>But Mr. Amaliba noted that these new revelations could bode well for the main suspects given that \u201cthose in court now have maintained that they have been used as scapegoats.
