The Black Stars will play against the United States in an international friendly on July 1 at the\u00a0Pratt & Whitney Stadium in\u00a0East Hartford, Connecticut.<\/p>\n
The match forms part of the United States\u2019 preparations for their hosting of the Gold Cup tournament which starts on July 7.<\/p>\n
The match was announced by the United States Soccer Federation in April but the choice of venue was confirmed on May 1.<\/p>\n
US coach Bruce Arena says that the Black Stars will give them needed test ahead of the tournament.<\/p>\n
\u201cGhana is certainly a team that brings different challenges, and it\u2019s the type of competition we need as we continue to develop our program.<\/p>\n
Winning the Gold Cup is one of our priorities in 2017, so this is an important opportunity. We\u2019ve always had great support in Hartford, and look forward to more of the same this summer.\u201d<\/p>\n
