mentoring session was to inspire the hundreds of students to aspire to greatness, and also provide the students with the opportunity to learn about career opportunities available for by their family challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Programmes Manager and co-host of Traffic Avenue, Jessica Opare Soforo, told the students that they should be driven by their passion to serve and not just money.<\/p>\n<p>Umaru Sanda Amadu, host of <strong>Citi FM\u2019s<\/strong> news analysis programme, <strong>The Big Issue<\/strong>, said one\u2019s family background cannot hinder his or her development if he or she perseveres and is determined to succeed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-311405 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Easter-orphan-project-2017-Basco-18.jpg\" alt=\"easter-orphan-project-2017-basco-18\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kojo Akoto Boateng, the co-host of the<strong> Citi Breakfast Show<\/strong> said that, even though academic qualification was not a guarantee for success, it was important for the students to perform well and pass their final examinations; thus the Basic and second cycle examinations.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, the station through the support of its listeners and corporate Ghana, built a<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/10\/20\/citi-fm-donates-desks-bunk-beds-to-basco-orphanage-photos\/\"> vocational training center for BASCO<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, and the centre is intended to cater for training in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, hairdressing, and masonry.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-311393 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Easter-orphan-project-2017-Basco-6.jpg\" alt=\"easter-orphan-project-2017-basco-6\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Citi FM<\/strong> with the support of its listeners and various corporate organizations, made a cash donation, and also presented items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to the school.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the items included toiletries, maize, rice, oil, mattresses, water, books, toys, biscuits, clothes, beverages among other things.<\/p>\n<p>The company has also presented items and money to the two other orphanages, <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/04\/17\/easter-orphan-project-mama-laadi-foster-home-kids-thank-citi-fm-photos\/\">Mama Laadi<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in the Upper East Region, and\u00a0the
