The winner of the Hiplife Song of the Year award at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Kwaku Nsiah-Boamah aka Flowking Stone has expressed his joy after winning the award.<\/p>\n
In an exclusive interview with citifmonline.com the \u2018Go Low\u2019 hitmaker stated that the award “feels inspiring.”<\/p>\n
Asked what the award meant to him, he noted that it taught him that with perseverance he could achieve anything he wanted in his music career.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt means I can get to any target I want to in spite of any adversity. I have been underrated for four years but I get better every year. Thanks to God,\u201d he disclosed to Citi Showbiz.<\/p>\n
When asked what he would change about the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards if he had the power, the \u2018Rapping Drums\u2019 rapper said he would admonish the organizers to let transparency reign supreme in the organization process.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver the years, a lot of people I know have lost interest in the scheme due to a lot of repeated mistakes such as categorizations and nominations and \u2018mis-awarding\u2019,\u201d Flowking Stated.<\/p>\n
\u201cTransparency and truth should be considered over politics, superiority and the quest to make more money other than prestige,\u201d he further noted.<\/p>\n
He thanked Charterhouse for organizing the event and recognizing his effort, to his fans and all those who voted for him.<\/p>\n
Flowking King, young brother of \u2018Best Rapper Alive\u2019 Okyeame Kwame, came into the music industry in 2004 as a duo with his younger brother Kunta Kinte with the album \u2018Efri Fie\u2019 which had hit song \u2018One Gallon.\u2019 They were called Bradez.<\/p>\n
Their second album \u2018Breakthrough,\u2019 released in 2008 also had great songs like the multiple award winning \u2018Simple,\u2019\u00a0<\/strong>\u2018Flashe,\u2019\u00a0\u2018Runthings,\u2019\u00a0\u2018Dondoo,\u2019\u00a0\u2018Woso\u2019 (Remix)\u00a0and many others. They followed up with their third album \u2018Conquer the World\u2019 in 2011.<\/p>\n Shortly, his brother took ill and he had to go solo.
