{"id":310227,"date":"2017-04-12T16:47:46","date_gmt":"2017-04-12T16:47:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=310227"},"modified":"2017-04-12T16:47:46","modified_gmt":"2017-04-12T16:47:46","slug":"31-children-of-deceased-security-officers-get-schorlaship-from-lebanese-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/04\/31-children-of-deceased-security-officers-get-schorlaship-from-lebanese-community\/","title":{"rendered":"31 children of deceased security officers get schorlaship from Lebanese community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Lebanese Community in Ghana has presented scholarships to 31 children and wards of Police, Immigration and Prisons Service personnel who died in service.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony for the presentation of the scholarships was held at the headquarters of the Ghana Police Service in Accra.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-310239 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_4152.jpg\" alt=\"img_4152\" width=\"667\" height=\"445\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery, lauded the contribution of the Lebanese community to the Ghanaian economy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the course of my work as Minister for the Interior, I have encountered many Lebanese nationals who are contributing to our economy in many ways. I also know that some of the Lebanese families have been in Ghana for over 100 years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-310241 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_3869-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"img_3869\" width=\"720\" height=\"481\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Lebanese Ambassador, Ali H. Halabi, in his speech, hailed the government\u2019s commitment to creating an enabling environment for foreign investors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour government is leading and paving the way of creating an enabling environment for foreign investors to invest in the country.
