Citi Business News has learnt that all 28 universal banks in Ghana will for the first time, be available for selection in the 13th<\/sup> edition of the Ghana banking awards.<\/p>\n Some banks in previous years were not involved in the annual event following complications with the criteria for selection.<\/p>\n The awards scheme based on both quantitative and qualitative data was officially launched yesterday July 10th <\/sup>2014.<\/p>\n Speaking to Citi Business News, the Chairman of the Awards Planning Board, Nana Otuo Acheampong said, \u201cThis year every bank is a candidate because the majority of the awards are based on quantitative data, in previous years the qualitative data was more and therefore with the qualitative data you\u2019ve got to have the permission of the banks to do it\u201d.<\/p>\n According to him a survey for the qualitative data will start immediately. \u201cThere are four areas that we are surveying and the rest of the areas are Based on pure quantitative data that through section 81 of the Banking Act we\u2019ve been able to assemble\u201d.<\/p>\n Assurance for both data analyses are provided by auditing firm, Ernst & Young to ensure integrity of the process.<\/p>\n By: \u00a0Rabiu Alhassan\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Citi Business News has learnt that all 28 universal banks in Ghana will for the first time, be available for selection in the 13th edition of the Ghana banking awards.
