{"id":307954,"date":"2017-04-05T09:00:16","date_gmt":"2017-04-05T09:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=307954"},"modified":"2017-04-05T09:00:16","modified_gmt":"2017-04-05T09:00:16","slug":"first-lady-lauds-women-trained-in-electronics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/04\/first-lady-lauds-women-trained-in-electronics\/","title":{"rendered":"First Lady lauds women trained in electronics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has encouraged young women undergoing training in electronics, to develop industry-demand skills that will help them participate meaningfully in the labor market.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-307960\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Rebecca-Akufo-Addo-2.jpg\" alt=\"rebecca-akufo-addo-2\" width=\"795\" height=\"530\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a graduation ceremony at the Pentecost Vocational Training Institute (PVTI) under the theme \u201cFemale Professionals in Electronics\u201d, the First Lady asked the female graduates not to waver in their quest to acquire skills in an area largely dominated by men, being mindful of the importance of electronics in Ghana&#8217;s development and the positive influence they will have on other women with similar ambitions.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-307960\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Rebecca-Akufo-Addo-2.jpg\" alt=\"rebecca-akufo-addo-2\" width=\"788\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ghanaian government is committed to solving the problem of unemployment and increase the avenue for female employment to bring about economic wellbeing. I am therefore glad to know that the council for technical and vocational education and training is vigorously pursuing strategies to provide industry demand driven skill to our youth.
