{"id":306621,"date":"2017-03-31T08:46:40","date_gmt":"2017-03-31T08:46:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=306621"},"modified":"2017-03-31T08:46:40","modified_gmt":"2017-03-31T08:46:40","slug":"youth-advised-to-develop-entrepreneurial-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/03\/youth-advised-to-develop-entrepreneurial-skills\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth advised to develop entrepreneurial skills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">A Project Management Expert and a Leadership Consultant, Dr Donald Senanu Agumenu has called on the youth to take up entrepreneurial skills in order to improve their lives and drive the country\u2019s economic growth. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?attachment_id=306625\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-306625\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-306625\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Volta-region-youth-summit-4-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"volta-region-youth-summit-4\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Dr Agumenu observed that entrepreneurship is a backbone of every successful economy and it helps citizens to develop themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">He underscored the need for the Ghanaian youth to develop skills and come out with new businesses that would create employment for others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?attachment_id=306623\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-306623\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-306623\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Volta-region-youth-summit-2-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"volta-region-youth-summit-2\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Speaking at a Youth Leadership Summit at Ave-Dakpa in the Akatsi North District of the Volta Region, the Project Management Expert said the key skills any entrepreneur should possess are the ability to set goals and to manage time, money and other resources.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?attachment_id=306626\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-306626\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-306626\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Volta-region-youth-summit-5-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"volta-region-youth-summit-5\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Summit which was organised by his outfit saw the youth in the area being taken through lessons in bee keeping, fashion and apparel production, agri-business, ICT among others. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The participants were encouraged to take up such skills to improve their lives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?attachment_id=306622\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-306622\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-306622\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Volta-region-youth-summit-1-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"volta-region-youth-summit-1\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Akatsi North district is one of the newly created districts in the Volta Region and its inhabitants are noted for the production of crops such maize, cassava and other arable crops. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The district also has a dam which hosts friendly crocodiles that attracts tourists to the area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Chairman for the occasion and Chief of Ave-Atanve, Torgbui Hodzi Dunyo said that the youth summit, which is the maiden edition in the district was an eye-opener and it would go a long way to improve the economic fortunes of the youth in the area.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: King Nobert Akpablie\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Project Management Expert and a Leadership Consultant, Dr Donald Senanu Agumenu has called on the youth to take up entrepreneurial skills in order to improve their lives and drive the country\u2019s economic growth.
