{"id":305888,"date":"2017-03-28T12:10:39","date_gmt":"2017-03-28T12:10:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=305888"},"modified":"2017-03-28T12:10:39","modified_gmt":"2017-03-28T12:10:39","slug":"five-arrested-over-delta-force-attacks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/03\/five-arrested-over-delta-force-attacks\/","title":{"rendered":"Five arrested over Delta Force attacks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Five persons have been arrested in connection with the raiding of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council last Friday.<\/p>\n<p>A \u00a0pro-New Patriotic Party vigilante group, the Delta Force, <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/03\/25\/npps-delta-force-attack-ashanti-regional-security-coordinator\/\"><strong>stormed the premises<\/strong><\/a><\/span> of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council last Friday, demanding the removal of the Regional Security Coordinator, George Adjei.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;80YodsT2bfQk3imf35hFWqPX56xGq93V&#8221;]The arrested persons include Kwadwo Fosu Bamba, Awal Sadat Abubakar, Abubakar Sadiq Abdul Hameed, Jamil Issah, and Hamza Mohammed.<\/p>\n<p>The latter three reported themselves to the police, according to a statement from the police. They have been charged with conspiracy to assault, assaulting a public officer and causing unlawful damage.<\/p>\n<p>The angry Delta Force group stormed the premises of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council last Friday, demanding the removal of the Regional Security Coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>They destroyed some properties in a bloody attack, and forced the Security Coordinator out of his office. The Security Coordinator was however saved by the timely intervention of the police.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Delta-Force.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-304683\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Delta-Force.jpg\" alt=\"delta-force\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the group, they cannot work with the security coordinator, who they claim contributed nothing to the party&#8217;s victory.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0organizer\u00a0of the Delta Force, Kwadwo Fosu Bamba, subsequently\u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/03\/27\/well-obey-you-delta-force-leader-begs-nana-addo\/\">apologized<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0to President Nana Akufo-Addo and members of the party for the assault on George Agyei.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are begging the President\u2026 we are waiting for anything the President will say. We are ready to obey our President.
