Five persons have been arrested in connection with the raiding of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council last Friday.<\/p>\n
A \u00a0pro-New Patriotic Party vigilante group, the Delta Force, stormed the premises<\/strong><\/a><\/span> of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council last Friday, demanding the removal of the Regional Security Coordinator, George Adjei.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”80YodsT2bfQk3imf35hFWqPX56xGq93V”]The arrested persons include Kwadwo Fosu Bamba, Awal Sadat Abubakar, Abubakar Sadiq Abdul Hameed, Jamil Issah, and Hamza Mohammed.<\/p>\n The latter three reported themselves to the police, according to a statement from the police. They have been charged with conspiracy to assault, assaulting a public officer and causing unlawful damage.<\/p>\n The angry Delta Force group stormed the premises of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council last Friday, demanding the removal of the Regional Security Coordinator.<\/p>\n They destroyed some properties in a bloody attack, and forced the Security Coordinator out of his office. The Security Coordinator was however saved by the timely intervention of the police.<\/p>\n
