{"id":303589,"date":"2017-03-21T16:09:34","date_gmt":"2017-03-21T16:09:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=303589"},"modified":"2017-03-21T16:09:34","modified_gmt":"2017-03-21T16:09:34","slug":"i-havent-forgotten-the-high-expectations-of-my-govt-akufo-addo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/03\/i-havent-forgotten-the-high-expectations-of-my-govt-akufo-addo\/","title":{"rendered":"I haven&#8217;t forgotten the high expectations of my gov\u2019t \u2013 Akufo-Addo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Akufo-Addo has said that he is aware of the high expectations of Ghanaians for him to turn around the fortunes of the country.<\/p>\n<p>He said the New Patriotic Party\u2019s overwhelming victory in the December 2016 elections, has placed a burden on him to meet the numerous expectations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-303630 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Akufo-Addo-Switzerland-10.jpg\" alt=\"akufo-addo-switzerland-10\" width=\"960\" height=\"639\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the Ghanaian community in Geneva, President Akufo Addo said his government had developed concrete plans to realize the promises it has made.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe future for Ghana is one which is limitless in its possibilities are far as I am concerned. This is going to require dedicated work and a lot of hard work, but nothing gets down easily.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-303628 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Akufo-Addo-Switzerland-8.jpg\" alt=\"akufo-addo-switzerland-8\" width=\"960\" height=\"639\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to sweat our way there and it is all of us, we have to sweat our way there. That Ghana we want, we can get to that Ghana. I believe we can all do that,\u201d Akufo-Addo said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-303622 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Akufo-Addo-Switzerland-2.jpg\" alt=\"akufo-addo-switzerland-2\" width=\"960\" height=\"639\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The President said he had heard concerns that his government had made so many promises and will not be able to deliver on them, but according to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has a record of making do all promises it made to Ghanaians and his NPP government will not be an exception.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-303621 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Akufo-Addo-Switzerland-1.jpg\" alt=\"akufo-addo-switzerland-1\" width=\"960\" height=\"639\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou say we are making a lot of promises, but we are not making just promises but we have a plan.
