{"id":303297,"date":"2017-03-21T09:00:18","date_gmt":"2017-03-21T09:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=303297"},"modified":"2017-03-21T09:00:18","modified_gmt":"2017-03-21T09:00:18","slug":"tamasco-alum-donates-sports-kits-to-alma-mater","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/03\/tamasco-alum-donates-sports-kits-to-alma-mater\/","title":{"rendered":"TAMASCO alum donates sports kits to alma mater"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Assistant coach of Notas, a Swedish 3<sup>rd<\/sup> division club, Osman Abdulai Maikano, has donated sports kits to his alma mater, Tamale Secondary School (Tamasco).<\/p>\n<p>He presented the items including footballs, jerseys and neckties to the head teacher on Monday, March 20, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Osman Abdulai Maikano told <strong>Citi Sports<\/strong> the gesture was in appreciation of the school\u2019s contribution to his success in life.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-303312 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/c1c15b59-730f-49c4-9cf6-0e146f692e60-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"c1c15b59-730f-49c4-9cf6-0e146f692e60\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He promised to help elevate the school\u2019s sports department to maintain its enviable position as the number one sporting second cycle institution in the three regions of the north.<\/p>\n<p>The head teacher, Shaibu Adams Wilberforce, commended Osman Abdulai Maikano for the gift.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the donation came at a time management intended buying the items for the upcoming inter schools sports competition.<\/p>\n<p>Shaibu Adams Wilberforce appealed to old students to assist management uplift Tamasco\u2019s image.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Students\u2019 indiscipline<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shaibu Adams Wilberforce declared zero tolerance for students\u2019 indiscipline which he noted had gained notoriety in some senior high schools in the Northern Region.<\/p>\n<p>He decried the wanton destruction of school property during students\u2019 riot and reaffirmed his support for the dismissal of any student engaged in such\u00a0acts.<\/p>\n<p>He challenged the students to endeavour to acquire higher academic laurels and serve as responsible citizens.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assistant coach of Notas, a Swedish 3rd division club, Osman Abdulai Maikano, has donated sports kits to his alma mater, Tamale Secondary School (Tamasco).
