{"id":301814,"date":"2017-03-15T06:00:28","date_gmt":"2017-03-15T06:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=301814"},"modified":"2017-03-15T06:00:28","modified_gmt":"2017-03-15T06:00:28","slug":"37-military-hospital-marks-anniversary-with-blood-donation-exercise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/03\/37-military-hospital-marks-anniversary-with-blood-donation-exercise\/","title":{"rendered":"37 Military hospital marks anniversary with blood donation exercise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1489512904555_4665\" class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\">The 37 Military Hospital, as part of its 75th-anniversary celebrations, has organised a two-day blood donation exercise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\">The aim of the project is to restock the blood bank and provide support for persons who require blood during this period.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\">The exercise under the caption, \u201c1 pint can save 3 lives\u201d is to encourage many blood donors who are in the capacity to do so, to do it to save lives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-301815\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/37-Military-1.jpg\" alt=\"37-military-1\" width=\"691\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1489512904555_4672\" class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\">The Commander of the 37 Military Hospital, Brigadier General Ernest Crosby Saka, who was present at the opening ceremony of the exercise \u201ccalled on the military high command, corporate bodies, organisations and philanthropists to seriously consider the blood bank expansion project to get the blood bank unit a befitting and spacious accommodation to operate in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-301817\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/37-military-3.jpg\" alt=\"37-military-3\" width=\"741\" height=\"417\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1489512904555_4676\" class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1489512904555_4675\">The first day saw many people come from all walks of life, some from as far as the Eastern Region. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1489512904555_4675\">Some of the donors who spoke to\u00a0<strong>Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0explained that, they were encouraged by the plight of the hospital to improve the stock levels at the blood bank .<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1489512904555_4654\" class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1489512904555_4653\">One of the donors, Beatrice Gavor, said she was giving back because she once benefited from a donation exercise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-301816\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/37-Military-2.jpg\" alt=\"37-military-2\" width=\"691\" height=\"389\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1489512904555_4681\" class=\"yiv8183641468MsoNormal\"><span id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1489512904555_4680\">Another donor, Edward\u00a0 Amponsah Afari, said \u201cI have the passion of donating blood.
