Hearts of Oak<\/strong> emerged winners of the Accra derby after they beat Olympics<\/strong> 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.<\/p>\n Olympics started the game well but could not get a breakthrough as Hearts managed to put in some good defensive work.<\/p>\n The Phobians took the lead in the 24th minute against the run of play through Paul Acquah. He headed home a cross from the right hand side from Fatawu Mohammed.<\/p>\n But Olympics pushed on and got the equaliser through Benjamin Arthur headed home unmarked in the 39th minute.<\/p>\n The second half was more evenly matched as both teams went for the winner. That went to Hearts in the 80th minute when Inusah Musah poked home after a free kick was sent into the area and it was not properly cleared.<\/p>\n (Below is the a tweet of the goal thanks to the GHPL Twitter handle):<\/p>\n Bolga All Stars<\/strong> got a point against Asante Kotoko<\/strong> in a match which was played at the Tamale Sports Stadium.<\/p>\n Kotoko took the lead through Yakubu Mohammed in the 20th minute but they could not hold as Noah Neequaye found the equaliser in the 85th minute.<\/p>\n AshantiGold<\/strong> lost 4-2 to Bechem United<\/strong> at the Len Clay Stadium.<\/p>\n The Miners were rattled by two first half goals from Alfred Nelson and Akoto Danso but they came back when Tijani Joshua and Kofi Owusu scored for AshGold.<\/p>\n But the recovery was short-lived as Bechem United scored twice through Ahmed Toure to make it 4-2.<\/p>\n Elmina Sharks<\/strong> were 2-1 winners at the Ndoum Stadium against Berekum Chelsea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Joseph Mensah and Tetteh Nortey scored for Sharks while Justice Anane got the consolation for Berekum Chelsea.<\/p>\n Liberty Professionals<\/strong> did a recovery job at the Carl Reindorf Park in their 2-1 win over Dwarfs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Dwarfs took the lead through Nicholas Gyan in the first half but Liberty showed strength and found goals from Samuel Sarpong and Emmanuel Sarpong.<\/p>\n WAFA<\/strong> beat Tema Youth<\/strong> 2-1 with goals coming from Abukari Ibrahim and Majeed Asimeru.<\/p>\n Tema Youth took the lead through Joseph Paintsil.<\/p>\n Defending league champions, Wa All Stars<\/strong>, won on the road at Medeama<\/strong> thanks to a goal from Kelvin Matthew Andoh.<\/p>\n Ghana Premier League Week 6:<\/strong><\/p>\n Hearts 2-1 Olympics –<\/p>\n By: Citi Sports Desk<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hearts of Oak emerged winners of the Accra derby after they beat Olympics 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
