there were formation and electric dances with some great great African tunes.<\/p>\n<p>As if that was not enough, patrons were also treated to an open club section.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-300857 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Heritage-Caravan-Bonfire-night-6-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"heritage-caravan-bonfire-night-6\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Heritage-Caravan-Bonfire-night-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-300864 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Heritage-Caravan-Bonfire-night-5-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"heritage-caravan-bonfire-night-5\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Caravan is currently in\u00a0the Western Region, after moving from Sunyani.\u00a0 It was a long but eventful journey.<\/p>\n<p>Amidst singing, dancing and interactions, patrons on aboard the caravan, told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> that their expectations have been totally met.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the caravan made a stop at the Assin Manso slave market and river.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-300862\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Heritage-Caravan-Bonfire-night-3-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"heritage-caravan-bonfire-night-3\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-300861 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Heritage-Caravan-Bonfire-night-2-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"heritage-caravan-bonfire-night-2\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the site, patrons were told the story of how our fore fathers sold indigenes into slavery.<\/p>\n<p>The mood at the site was an emotional one, as the tour guide, Kwesi Addo, narrated events as told by the fore fathers.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Addo noted that, the slaves were chained and branded by their masters and taken to the river for their last bath still in chains.<\/p>\n<p>After spending nine hours on the road, the caravan lodged at the serene Busua Beach Resort.<\/p>\n<p>The second edition of <strong>Citi FM<\/strong>\u2019s Heritage Caravan started last Sunday, March 5, 2017, with a breakfast, and a tour of some tourist sites in the Greater Accra regional capital, Accra.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-300859\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Heritage-Caravan-Bonfire-night-8-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"heritage-caravan-bonfire-night-8\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-300858\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Heritage-Caravan-Bonfire-night-7-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"heritage-caravan-bonfire-night-7\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The trip forms part of activities marking the station&#8217;s Heritage Month which is commemorated in March every year, as part of Ghana&#8217;s independence day celebration on March 6.<\/p>\n<p>The Caravan has so far been to the Ashanti, Northern, Upper East, Upper West, and Brong Ahafo Regions, and is currently in the Western Region.<\/p>\n<p>The 2017 trip, which has Vodafone Cash, HFC Susu Plus Account and Top Oil as sponsors, has been packaged to give patrons an experience of a lifetime.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Kojo Agyaman\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Patrons of Citi FM&#8216;s Heritage Caravan, were treated to a bonfire night on Day five of the trip.
