{"id":298226,"date":"2017-03-01T16:02:31","date_gmt":"2017-03-01T16:02:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=298226"},"modified":"2017-03-01T16:02:31","modified_gmt":"2017-03-01T16:02:31","slug":"nungua-road-develops-pot-holes-2-months-after-construction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/03\/nungua-road-develops-pot-holes-2-months-after-construction\/","title":{"rendered":"Nungua: Road develops pot holes 2-months after construction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Residents of Nungua in the Greater Accra Region, have expressed their frustration at what they describe as waste of money and shoddy construction of some roads, which were hurriedly done ahead of the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<p>According them, the linking road from Leisure hotel to the main road, has not been the best since the road has developed some potholes two months after its construction.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-298229\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/potholes-road-2.jpg\" alt=\"potholes-road-2\" width=\"768\" height=\"462\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-298227\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/potholes-road-6.jpg\" alt=\"potholes-road-6\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They claimed that the visible pot holes were brought to bare after a recent\u00a0heavy rain.<\/p>\n<p>A Teacher at Nungua, who gave his name as Ewa, said \u201cthis road has been a rough road; but before the election 2016, the road was hurriedly constructed.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, &#8220;the construction is such that,coal tar\u00a0on it cannot last because it&#8217;s not thick. It has started developing pot holes and it\u2019s not good enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-298231\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/potholes-road-4.jpg\" alt=\"potholes-road-4\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-298230\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/potholes-road-3.jpg\" alt=\"potholes-road-3\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other residents shared similar disappointment about the road to <strong>Citi News.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are about five or six of them on this side, they were all started at the same time and the compacting wasn\u2019t properly done; you could see it.
