The Ghana National Chamber of Commerce (GNCC) has expressed its support for the Indian government and the Trade Promotion Council of India’s (TCPI) initiative of increasing trade relations.<\/p>\n

The Head of Marketing, Trade and Investment Promotion for the Ghana National Chamber Of Commerce, Frederick Adu Amoako told Citi Business News<\/strong> his outfit is hopeful of increasing the export of processed goods at the expense of unrefined ones.<\/p>\n \u201cWe want to be able to partner them to be able to establish some joint ventures in Ghana. We don\u2019t want to continue to export our goods in their raw state, we want to process them, and we want to add value to the raw materials that we are exporting,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cWith respect to the industries in Ghana that are producing we want to be able to up our game by adding some kind of international touch to the finished products so that they can compete on the international market,\u201d the GNCC Head of Marketing added.<\/p>\n Frederick Adu Amoako was speaking at the sidelines of the launch of \u2018Source India Ghana 2017\u2019 in Accra.<\/p>\n The ‘Source India Ghana’ conference commences Tuesday, 28th<\/sup> February – 2nd<\/sup> March,2017 at the Accra international Conference Centre.<\/p>\n The Business delegation comprises about 50 Indian companies.<\/p>\n It is expected that the bilateral trade will strengthen investment and business relations which will have a positive impact on the Ghanaian economy through joint venture initiatives.<\/p>\n It is also expected to favour technology transfers which will lead to employment generation, output growth and achieve import competitiveness.<\/p>\n Source India has been welcomed and supported by other leading Ghanaian trade organizations like Association of Ghana Industries, Food and Beverage Association of Ghana, West African Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association among others.<\/p>\n Indian investment in Ghana is around USD 998 million, making India the second largest foreign investor in Ghana.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Anita Arthur\/citibusinessnews.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Ghana National Chamber of Commerce (GNCC) has expressed its support for the Indian government and the Trade Promotion Council of India’s (TCPI) initiative of increasing trade relations.
