A new Regent will be enskined Friday July, 04, 14 for the Nanung Traditional Area.<\/p>\n
This became necessary following the murder of the late Bimbilla Naa Dasana Andani Abdulai II.<\/p>\n
One of the late murdered chief\u2019s sons, Yakubu Dasana Andani is expected to be enskined as the new Regent.<\/p>\n
This will be done in line with the customs and traditions of the Nanung Traditional Area.<\/p>\n
The late Bimbilla Naa Dasana Andani Abdulai II was murdered in Bimbila by unknown assailants on June, 19, 2014 at his palace.<\/p>\n
He was buried on Thursday June 26, 2014 amidst tight security in Bimbila and its environs.<\/p>\n
His third day funeral rites were held in Bimbilla on Sunday June, 29, 2014.<\/p>\n
The cause of his murder is yet to be established and so far 23 suspects are in police custody assisting them in their investigations.<\/p>\n
The suspects include two prominent persons from the Nanung Traditional Area, a former District Chief Executive for Bimbila during Jerry Rawlings\u2019 regime, Alhaji Iddrisu Sumaila Adam and a former Director of the Northern Region Rural Integrated Programme (NORRIP), Mr. Arthur Naatogmah.<\/p>\n
