Parliament on Wednesday approved a $156 million loan facility to be sourced from the World Bank to finance the Ghana Secondary School Education Improvement Project.<\/p>\n

Part of that amount would be used to buy sanitary pads and other essential school items to be distributed for free to school girls.<\/p>\n

The decision has however generated public debate and concern as some have expressed fears the project will pave the way for corruption and embezzlement of funds.<\/p>\n

The show discussed the reason behind government’s decision to spend part of the loan to secure sanitary pads for female students.<\/p>\n
