contributing to a panel discussion on \u201cLeapfrogging Development: The African Story,\u201d at the 5th World Government Summit currently ongoing in Dubai, UAE.<\/p>\n<figure href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/02\/12\/ghana-needs-more-trade-not-foreign-aid-bawumia\/bawumia-12-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-293823\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-293823 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Bawumia-12.jpg\" alt=\"bawumia-12\" width=\"960\" height=\"610\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-293823\" there was a great potential for Africa\u2019s growth leveraging technology and that opportunity must be tapped urgently to realize the Africa\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/02\/12\/ghana-needs-more-trade-not-foreign-aid-bawumia\/bawumia-5-5\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-293821\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-293821 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Bawumia-5.jpg\" alt=\"bawumia-5\" width=\"960\" height=\"590\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He added that, \u201cAfrica has to understand that the process of leapfrogging must be homegrown and implemented in full&#8230;In the next five years, Africa will become the fastest growing continent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/02\/12\/ghana-needs-more-trade-not-foreign-aid-bawumia\/bawumia-4-4\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-293822\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-293822 president of Guinea, Alpha Conde, who is also AU Chairman and Mr Ashish Tkakkar, Founder of Mara Group and Mara Foundation.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_293818\" among the over 90 top government and business leaders who have gathered in the gulf country for the event.<\/p>\n<p>The 3-day World Government summit which started on Sunday, 12th February will end on
