Growing Business Together (GBT), a Dutch government funded initiative which seeks to support early stage entrepreneurs has been launched by MBC Africa, at the residence of the Netherlands Ambassador to Ghana, under the theme \u201cAccelerating young entrepreneurs\u201d.<\/p>\n
Other implementing partners are iMPACT Booster of the Netherlands, and the Ghana Netherlands Business and Culture Council.<\/p>\n
The launch event came off on 26th January, 2017, with an audience of over 170 very engaged young entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”rrcHXVwFC5RDNIhGBh1BMXWqLG2tuYtf”]GBT is a two-year program which aims to promote entrepreneurship among young Ghanaians, offering an opportunity for these entrepreneurs to gain extensive knowledge and skills in building their business, gain access to finance and coaching from experienced Ghanaian and Dutch entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
The key components of the Growing Business Together initiative include a 9-month GBT Academy, the GBT Coaches Program and the GBT Startup Investment Conference.<\/p>\n
There is a parallel project for Ghanaians in Netherlands who seek to start businesses in Ghana.<\/p>\n
The Dutch Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Ron Strikker in his welcome address, encouraged prospective applicants to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and be passionate about their business.<\/p>\n
He stated that, the slogan of the Netherlands Embassy in Ghana \u201cGrowing Together\u201d is backed by the desire to help Ghanaian young entrepreneurs grow.<\/p>\n
Sharing their experiences as entrepreneurs during the panel discussion, Fred Deegbe Jnr. and Mr. Issa Quadrego, CEOs of Heel the World and B-BOVID respectively, agreed on the need for such support platforms to help early stage entrepreneurs grow their businesses.<\/p>\n
