{"id":289623,"date":"2017-01-30T19:27:12","date_gmt":"2017-01-30T19:27:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=289623"},"modified":"2017-01-30T19:27:12","modified_gmt":"2017-01-30T19:27:12","slug":"vice-president-bawumia-pays-unannounced-visit-to-tema-port","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/01\/vice-president-bawumia-pays-unannounced-visit-to-tema-port\/","title":{"rendered":"Vice President Bawumia pays unannounced visit to Tema Port"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has paid another surprise visit, this time to the Tema Port, to familiarise himself with the operations of the port, and hear at first hand the challenges facing players in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>The Tema Port is a major backbone of the country&#8217;s revenue collection efforts, generating a significant percentage of annual domestic revenue.<\/p>\n<p>The Tema Collection Point of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) however missed its 2016 target, mobilizing GH\u023c7,334,174,613.10 against a target of GH\u023c7,690.380.000.00.
