President Nana Akufo Addo will later today, Saturday, January 28, 2017 swear in Foreign Minister designate, Shirley Aryorkor Botchwey in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.<\/p>\n
The ceremony will take place at Ghana\u2019s Embassy in that country.<\/p>\n
This was announced by the president on Friday during the swearing in ceremony of the first batch of ministers approved by Parliament.<\/p>\n
Madam Aryorkor Botchwey could not be sworn in with her 12 other colleagues due to her engagement in official government business in that country as at the time of the function.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe 13th<\/sup> minister, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey has already entered into her functions. She is in Addis \u00a0Ababa attending the Foreign Ministers meeting in preparation for the AU summit of 29th<\/sup> to 31st<\/sup> of January, 2017. \u00a0I will swear her in at Ghana\u2019s Embassy in Adis Ababa on Saturday evening,\u201d the \u00a0president added.<\/p>\n Akufo-Addo attends AU summit in Ethiopia<\/strong><\/p>\n President Akufo-Addo had left the country for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend the Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU).<\/p>\n The Summit, which is to take place from the 30th to 31st of January, was preceded by a meeting of the Executive Council which started on Friday.<\/p>\n This will be Nana Addo\u2019s second trip outside Ghana after his inauguration as President.<\/p>\n The summit has been themed: \u201cHarnessing the Demographic Dividend through Investment in the Youth.\u201d<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Godwin A.
