Gyan and Ghana coach Avram Grant confirmed the need for a scan when speaking to journalists after the match.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to blame the pitch at the Port Gentil Stadium for the injury.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said from the first day that the pitch was not good and we saw the players who have suffered due to it. Now, I feel pain in the injured area and it gets worse when I try to turn. That worries me because football is all about movement. We will go for the scan and see. There might be a miracle. You never know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The scan will determine if Gyan will be able to play again if Ghana should stay in contention for the title.
