The Polytechnic Teachers Association of Ghana (POTAG) is calling on government to show more dedication towards the payment of arrears owed them.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Education met the association on Monday.<\/p>\n
POTAG has been on an indefinite strike since May 15, 2014 over outstanding arrears in its book and research allowances.<\/p>\n
President of POTAG, James Dugura, in an interview with Citi News<\/strong> stated that his outfit would like government to \u201cshow commitment\u201d in the payment of the monies that that rightfully belongs to the association.<\/p>\n Mr. Dugura revealed key stakeholders needed in the negotiations were however absent during the meeting.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cThe substantive matter is about the book and research allowances and they have not said anything about it.\u201d<\/p>\n The court\u00a0case between POTAG and the\u00a0National Labour Commission (NLC)\u00a0will however resume on\u00a0July 7.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
