Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, has inaugurated the Savelugu central Mosque in the Northern Region.<\/p>\n
The Saudi Kingdom funded Mosque, known as AlhuMaidan Centre, has ancillary facilities such as an ultra modern school complex, staff bungalow, offices and latrines.<\/p>\n
Ghanaian born Saudi Arabia scholar in charge of the Saudi government\u2019s humanitarian services in Ghana, Dr. Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim, facilitated the building of the AlhuMaidan Centre.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia in a short message, reminded Muslims to be bonded by the tenets of Islam built on the foundation of \u201cPeace and total submission to the Will of Allah.\u201d<\/p>\n He said government was committed to build a united nation to improve the well-being of all citizens, and thus admonished the Clergy to intensify their prayers for national cohesion.<\/p>\n He thanked the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their continuous support to Ghana, particularly in the area of building Mosques, Islamic schools and mechanized boreholes in deprived communities.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Minister designate for Inner Cities and Zongos, Hon. Alhaji Boniface Abubakari Sadique, said government deserved\u00a0praise for the creation of his ministry.<\/p>\n He implored the Muslim Clergy to pray for the Nana Addo-Bawumia led New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration to succeed in delivering all its 2016 campaign promises.<\/p>\n Hon. Alhaji Boniface Abubakari Sadique said government was poised to implement pro-poor policies needed to assuage the plight of the suffering masses.<\/p>\n
