Day Two of the ongoing vetting of ministerial nominees to serve in the administration of President Akufo-Addo, has ended with Ambrose Dery and Gloria Akuffo, both nominees for the ministries of Interior and Justice and Attorney-General respectively.<\/p>\n
This brings to six (6) the number of nominees to have been vetted, out of the Thirty-Six (36) nominees.<\/p>\n
On day one, senior Minister nominee, Yaw Osafo-Maafo, National Security Minister nominee Kan Dapaah, Finance Minister nominee Ken Ofori-Atta, and Defence Minister nominee, Dominic Nitiwul, were vetted.<\/p>\n
The exercise continues on Monday January 23, where four more nominees will be vetted. The four to be vetted are the nominee for the Local Government & Rural Development Ministry, Hajia Alima Mahama, nominee for the Trade and Industry Ministry, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, nominee for Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and Minister-nominee of Energy, Boakye Agyarko.<\/p>\n
Day four<\/strong><\/p>\n On Tuesday January 24, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, Minister nominee for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, Education, and Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, Health, will appear before the Appointments committee.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Appointment Committee began with Ambrose Dery, nominee for the Interior Ministry portfolio.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Vetting of Gloria Akufo who was nominated for the Attorney General position is currently underway.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The vetting of these two Ministerial nominees, comes a day after some four Minister nominees also appeared before the Committee to be appointed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n –<\/p>\n Photos By: Godwin Allotey<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Day Two of the ongoing vetting of ministerial nominees to serve in the administration of President Akufo-Addo, has ended with Ambrose Dery and Gloria Akuffo, both nominees for the ministries of Interior and Justice and Attorney-General respectively.
