{"id":286397,"date":"2017-01-19T01:59:59","date_gmt":"2017-01-19T01:59:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=286397"},"modified":"2017-01-19T01:59:59","modified_gmt":"2017-01-19T01:59:59","slug":"ngo-donates-to-domsesere-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/01\/ngo-donates-to-domsesere-school\/","title":{"rendered":"NGO donates to Domsesere school"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A non-governmental organisation, Dream in Action Foundation (ADAF) has donated learning materials worth about GHc 2,000 to the Domsesere MA Primary School at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region.<\/p>\n<p>The Donation which took place on Tuesday at the school premises was part of the organization&#8217;s humanitarian activities dubbed &#8220;Donate for Education Project.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-286408 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/education-material-donation-5.jpg\" alt=\"education-material-donation-5\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>An elated headmaster of the school, Mr John Dean said the donation was timely and will help boost teaching and learning in the school.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-286401 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/education-material-donation-6.jpg\" alt=\"education-material-donation-6\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think this Donation by ADAF Ghana is a great one and is going to help most of the pupils here. With this donation, I believe those who are failing to turn up for school because of lack of learning materials will turn up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-286407 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/education-material-donation-4.jpg\" alt=\"education-material-donation-4\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He also revealed that pupils of the school are forced to use benches, borrowed from a nearby prayer camp as desks for learning.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-286404 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/education-material-donation-1.jpg\" alt=\"education-material-donation-1\" width=\"669\" height=\"501\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We do not have furniture for pupils to sit on. We have been using church benches and it is a big challenge to us here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>President of ADAF Ghana, Mr Peter K. Ania in an interview with <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, mentioned that his NGO seeks to help Communities like Domsesere value education better.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-286403 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/education-material-donation-8.jpg\" alt=\"education-material-donation-8\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe realized that when you go to the remote areas, parents and students do not know the essence of education.
