{"id":286302,"date":"2017-01-19T11:38:22","date_gmt":"2017-01-19T11:38:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=286302"},"modified":"2017-01-19T11:38:22","modified_gmt":"2017-01-19T11:38:22","slug":"golden-exotics-goes-to-court-over-obom-land-dispute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/01\/golden-exotics-goes-to-court-over-obom-land-dispute\/","title":{"rendered":"Golden Exotics goes to court over Obom land dispute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leading pineapple producer and exporter to the European Union, Golden Exotics Company has filed an interlocutory injunction against real estate company KAS Estate Limited from encroaching on its pineapple farms in Obom, near Amasaman in the Greater Accra region.<\/p>\n<p>The Management of Golden Exotic Limited earlier told Citi Business News its farm had been destroyed by KAS Estates, an allegation that was denied by the Lawyer of KAS Estates, Charles Bentum.<\/p>\n<p>But speaking to <strong>Citi Business News<\/strong>, the Corporate Affairs and Administrative Manager of Golden Exotic Limited, Mr. George Kporye\u00a0was hopeful the court will settle the matter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we have done is to get a restraining order from the court to restrain them from interfering with our work, you know we are farmers, our workers go to the field to weed, plant, and remove planting materials and things like that.
