The National organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC),\u00a0Kofi Adams, is calling for an open condemnation of threats of reprisal attacks by\u00a0the New Patriotic Party’s Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen.<\/p>\n
According to him, such intentions could lead the country into chaos if allowed to persist.<\/p>\n
The NPP at a press conference in Accra on Tuesday [January 18], said it will respond in equal measure, any act of violence or attacks perpetrated by supporters of the NDC.<\/p>\n

Enough is enough; the rains must fall on their ravings and ranting,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The NDC at an earlier press conference cried foul over what it describes as violent attacks against its supporters by loyalists of the NPP after Akufo-Addo was declared the\u00a0winner of the December Presidential elections.<\/p>\n
According to the NDC, two of its supporters had been killed in violent attacks.<\/p>\n
The party demanded that the President, Nana Akufo-Addo called supporters of his party to order, but according to Nana Obiri Boahen, the NDC does not have the moral rights to condemn post-election violence by the NPP, saying the NDC also did same when they took over power in 2009 from the erstwhile Kufuor-led NPP administration.<\/p>\n
Mr. Kofi Adams told the\u00a0host of Citi FM<\/strong>\u2019s Eyewitness News<\/strong>, Richard Sky on Wednesday that, President Akufo-Addo must take responsibility for the sanity of the country and must ensure that all forms of political violence is halted.<\/p>\n \u201cThis country has to move and this country cannot contain such elements and all of you in the media must rise up and speak against it. I don\u2019t think this is something we must allow. We cannot allow this to continue.
