A Reverend Minister, who’s now the Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has said he takes pride in the election of \u00a0Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as President, and Rt Hon Rev Professor Mike Aaron Oquaye, as Speaker of Parliament.<\/p>\n
Speaking to citifmonline.com<\/strong>, the Senior Pastor of Victory Bible Church International, East Legon branch, Hon. Rev John Ntim Fordjour, who succeeds Prof Dominic Kwaku Fobih as the new MP for Assin South Constituency, indicated that, regardless of the seemingly volatile nature of Ghanaian politics, manifesting the tenets of a true Christian in politics is possible, and for that matter, urged Christians who are in public positions to serve the nation conscientiously and selflessly, with integrity and the fear of God.<\/p>\n This he believes, will help ameliorate the menace of corruption and black magic often perceived to be associated with politics.<\/p>\n The pastor cum legislator\u00a0also cited a precedent set in Nigeria about the election of Rev Prof Yemi Osinbajo as the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.<\/p>\n He made these comments at a Thanksgiving service held at the headquarters of his church Victory Bible Church International, Dominion Sanctuary, Awoshie, a day after his induction in Parliament; where the Presiding Bishop of Victory Bible Church International, Rt Rev N A Tackie Yarboi, charged him to be a worthy example of integrity in the discharge of his duties as legislator, politician and a reverend minister.<\/p>\n About Rev.
