{"id":282257,"date":"2017-01-06T13:12:54","date_gmt":"2017-01-06T13:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=282257"},"modified":"2017-01-06T13:12:54","modified_gmt":"2017-01-06T13:12:54","slug":"akua-donkors-party-members-arrested-for-allegedly-robbing-her","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/01\/akua-donkors-party-members-arrested-for-allegedly-robbing-her\/","title":{"rendered":"Akua Donkor&#8217;s party members arrested for allegedly robbing her"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Central Regional Chairman of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Yakubu Yussif, and three\u00a0members of the party are in the grips of the police for allegedly conspiring to rob the 2016 Flagbearer of the party, Akua Donkor.<\/p>\n<p>The three are believed to have conspired with a known notorious gang leader, Abdul Razak Shaibu, who led two men to carry out the robbery at Sowutuom in Accra, in the early hours of December 30, 2016.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_282261\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-282261\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/5b19a3ac-0ec6-4b80-81b5-d980dbf0422e.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-282261 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/5b19a3ac-0ec6-4b80-81b5-d980dbf0422e.jpg\" alt=\"5b19a3ac-0ec6-4b80-81b5-d980dbf0422e\" width=\"600\" height=\"415\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-282261\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">From Left to right: Yakubu Yussif, Abdul Razak, Barnabas Kayase, Opoku Agyeman<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Odorkor Divisional Police Commander, ACP Francis Aboagye Nyarko, revealed that the suspects will be arraigned soon after investigations have been conducted.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that\u00a0the robbers \u201csucceeded in taking her [Akua Donkor&#8217;s] bag and an unspecified about of dollars and Ghanaian currency. The bag contained a passport, a plane ticket, and an EC card.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/8b42dce1-8c4e-4ca0-a090-6157213f91b2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-282262\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/8b42dce1-8c4e-4ca0-a090-6157213f91b2.jpg\" alt=\"8b42dce1-8c4e-4ca0-a090-6157213f91b2\" width=\"600\" height=\"417\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Yusif and the other party members were not present during the actual robbery, but ACP Nyarko said, \u201cwe believed that the driver, the Central Regional Chairman and one Opoku Agyeman, conspired with the guys to do that because they knew the woman was travelling to the United States at that particular time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/d792bd8f-c35f-46b5-9b97-de068b2ce42a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-282263\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/d792bd8f-c35f-46b5-9b97-de068b2ce42a.jpg\" alt=\"d792bd8f-c35f-46b5-9b97-de068b2ce42a\" width=\"600\" height=\"423\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cImmediately after the act, the three were picked up and are currently in custody and intelligence led us to pick up Razak, the leader of the team that robbed her and he led us to where the bag was kept.
