{"id":281416,"date":"2017-01-04T06:00:30","date_gmt":"2017-01-04T06:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=281416"},"modified":"2017-01-04T06:00:30","modified_gmt":"2017-01-04T06:00:30","slug":"saboba-residents-demand-fire-station-after-bush-fire-killed-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/01\/saboba-residents-demand-fire-station-after-bush-fire-killed-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Saboba residents demand fire station after bush-fire killed 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Residents of Saboba in the Northern Region have called on authorities to as a matter of urgency establish a fire station in the district.<\/p>\n<p>According to one of the residents, Mathias Licho, the constituency still depends on the Yendi fire station anytime there is a fire outbreak.<\/p>\n<p>The constituents believe a fire station situated in the area\u00a0will be prudent in times of need.<\/p>\n<p>This became a matter of great concern to the residents after a <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/01\/03\/busfire-kills-2-at-saboba-on-new-years-day\/\">bush fire killed two people<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, and left others injured on New Year&#8217;s day.<\/p>\n<p>The victims were winnowing rice on a farm in Bukob, a suburb of Saboba.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSaboba is a constituency on its own. Saboba was joined to the Chereponi district. It got to a point that Chereponi had to break off.
