{"id":281102,"date":"2017-01-01T16:03:29","date_gmt":"2017-01-01T16:03:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=281102"},"modified":"2017-01-01T16:03:29","modified_gmt":"2017-01-01T16:03:29","slug":"prioritize-science-and-technology-apostle-sarfo-to-akufo-addo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2017\/01\/prioritize-science-and-technology-apostle-sarfo-to-akufo-addo\/","title":{"rendered":"Prioritize science and technology \u2013 Apostle Sarfo to Akufo-Addo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Founder and leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka has urged the President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo to prioritize science and technology in his administration.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-281115\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Kantanka-8.jpeg\" alt=\"kantanka-8\" width=\"1040\" height=\"780\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to him, the country had great potential for the development of science and technology however not much has been done over the years.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-281114\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Kantanka-7.jpeg\" alt=\"kantanka-7\" width=\"1040\" height=\"780\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In a speech read on his behalf by his daughter and Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Adwoa Sarfo at the 36th annual technological exhibition of the Apostle Kantanka Technology Centre on Sunday, Apostle Sarfo called on the incoming Akufo-Addo led government to support the various technological products in the country especially from his centre.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-281113\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Kantanka-6.jpeg\" alt=\"kantanka-6\" width=\"1040\" height=\"780\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ebenezer Oduro-Owusu, who chaired the event challenged the incoming Nana Akufo-Addo administration to undertake educational reforms that would shift the country&#8217;s development policy to focus more on Science and Technology development.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-281111\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Kantanka-5.jpeg\" alt=\"kantanka-5\" width=\"1040\" height=\"780\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He warned that Ghana will not develop as fast as it hopes to if technology is not given priority in government policies.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-281105\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Kantanka-2.jpeg\" alt=\"kantanka-2\" width=\"1040\" height=\"780\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo in his address said, called on Ghanaians to work hard and in unity to ensure the vision of the country is achieved.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-281108\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Kantanka-3.jpg\" alt=\"kantanka-3\" width=\"1040\" height=\"780\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He pledged to be a president for all and ensure that every Ghanaian has his share of the national cake.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-281110\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Kantanka-4.jpg\" alt=\"kantanka-4\" width=\"1040\" height=\"780\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This government will not be a selective one but it will be all-inclusive. I wasn\u2019t voted for to take care of just my party folks. I was voted into power to lead all Ghanaians and that is exactly what I will do for the progress of the country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-281103\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Kantanka-1.jpeg\" alt=\"kantanka-1\" width=\"1040\" height=\"780\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every Ghanaian has a share in the future we are creating for this country. And we are going to ensure that every Ghanaian get money, freedom and jobs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He added that,\u00a0\u201cI also need your help, your prayers, good counsel and that is what will make me a good leader.
