The Paramount chief of the Talensi traditional area Tong-Rana Kugbilsong Nalebegtang has pledged his unflinching support and that of the traditional council to work with the President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to improve\u00a0the lives of the people of Talensi.<\/p>\n
Naab Kugbilsong Nalebegtang made these remarks when Nana Addo paid a courtesy call on him at his palace on a 2-day tour of the Upper East Region.<\/p>\n
He\u00a0 was optimistic that, Nana Addo’s policies\u00a0 especially the revamping the Pwalugu tomato factory and the ‘One Village One Dam, \u00a0will reduce the poverty situation in the area.<\/p>\n
“Nana Addo during his campaigns was very emphatic on what he and the NPP want to do for Ghanaians and all of us were convinced that knowing who he is, he will surely deliver.<\/p>\n
I know with your able vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Ghana in four years time will be smiling I am not sure we(Ghanaians) will need to vote again because I know Nana Addo \u00a0will deliver.<\/p>\n
The Talensi traditional council is ready to work with you as the president of the republic of Ghana. Indeed we are prepared to work with you excessively to satisfy the needs of people in accordance with\u00a0 your vision.<\/p>\n
I know that, your promise for dams will not evade us as am sure of a number of dams in the Talensi area. I already know that you have plans for the Pwalugu tomato factory which is within my traditional area and am sure by the end of the \u00a04 years that factory will be up and running to create jobs for the youth”.<\/p>\n
The president-elect Nana Addo reaffirmed his commitment to deliver on all the promises the NPP promised Ghanaians.<\/p>\n
“Let me re-assure you the Tongo-Rana of all the commitments I made before to the people of Ghana before electing me as a president are commitments I am determine to keep so that Ghanaians will know I am a man of my words.”<\/p>\n
